Road To Shining India

We are the part of a corrupt system right from our birth. It doesn't matter, we are actively involved or suffering at the passive end but the important point is- we are the part of a corrupt system. Now when we actually come in touch with then we realize that there's something illegal going on.

In our society, everyone is having his own definition for corruption. In general, if we are getting 500 bucks from somewhere as bribe then its our service charge which we are getting for our outstanding services but if we have to give the same 500 bucks to someone else then 'corruption' comes in existence. Now corruption has become the part of our culture. In our system one becomes corrupt by the very first day of his service. It doesn't matter he is doing that for himself or for someone else who's senior to him; either at departmental end or at political end.

We - the very basic element of our society, are the root cause of this corruption. We are helping it to expand its ways; whether it is directly or indirectly. Our double standards for this term are making it more dangerous for any system irrespective of the applicable area. We - the innocent folks of the country thinks that arranging a berth in a train by paying some money to T.T.E. is not that corruption, we are talking about. Or saving fine against few bucks, from a traffic constable is not illegal. How could we blame everyone including that T.T.E. and traffic constable for all this.

Most of my generation wants to join Government organizations or Public sector. That's not because they are keen interested to work for these organisations, but the goal is to ensure a healthy and wealthy life there. They all know just two things about these sectors - One is huge money and - second 'for nothing'. In some departments, a third factor is also involved- Bonus, that comes under the table. That's all that young generation wants for their lives and we use to say "We are YOUTH AGAINST CORRUPTION". Are we really against it?

Everyone here wants to clean the mess but we really have no idea how to get out of all this. Recently, Anna's movement against corruption excited the country on the whole issue and attracted huge crowd & support for the cause. I also agree with Anna Hazare and support his janlokpal movement but there's a parallel thought also involved- first we have to change ourselves otherwise no lokpal is going to help us. On the whole, we are both in this case- victim as well as the guilty. For one instance we stand against corruption as a victim of this corrupt system and at very next moment trigger turns its way and we become the guilty for the same.

If we really want to change the scenario then still there are chances to grow up with a bang and achieve the MISSION 2020. Youth carries all that energy, potential & power; that a country needs in its journey from better to become best. Now its time to think of your future and involvement in country's progress. No question, its an brilliant idea to appoint lokpal in order to make India corruption free but no lokpal can change our mentality; he can not do anything for those habits of getting berth on payment of some extra bucks or 100 bucks for breaking traffic signal. So There is much more to do beyond this lokpal bill. There are number of ideas that should be implemented along with this lokpal in order to achieve our mission of shining India.

One of the best way's to stop this corruption flood is - state sponsored elections. It'll help in preventing extra expenses in elections done by a candidate; which he uses to recover later from public funds illegally. Second is, availing the Right to reject option to voters in polls. On the basis of this, the candidates could be disqualified as per their higher number of rejections. Introducing the transparent technologies, formation of citizen charter will also be helpful. Finally, we the very own and respected citizens of India can change the situation and contribute our best in the making of a better India.
